by Michael Peak.
During his Emmy Award winning career as a television
journalist, Michael Peak has experienced over fifty
thousand different points of view. And not tucked away
in some studio. Peak has spent his entire career in the
field, on the streets, experiencing all aspects of life in the
world’s most prosperous nation, interviewing the winners
and losers.
In his years covering general assignment news, Peak has
specialized in topics related to current events, personal
development, success, and animal issues. His diverse
journalistic background offers a unique and diverse
insight into the world of successful people and how they
do what they do.
In addition to his career as a journalist, Michael Peak has
made contributions as a personal and professional coach,
specializing in NLP and hypnosis. He is an accomplished
Seminar leader, speaker and novelist.
Peak first hit the literary world in 1989 with Cat House, a
fanciful novel from the perspective of cats. Catamount
appeared shortly thereafter. Both—published by Penguin
Books—were fun, action packed fantasy genre
adventures, and both offered mystical insight into Peak’s
commitment to inspiration and motivation.
Of course, the topics of his books were very close to his
heart. “Being a Cat is where it’s At!” is a slogan Michael is
often heard to say. He currently resides with two felines,
Austin and Emma. The two Maine Coons are both
enormous and furry.
Michael appreciates larger cats, as well. In the past, he
has put in many hours working to protect California
mountain lions. The majestic pumas were once in
jeopardy of being hunted again, but have finally been put
on the protected species list forever.
Furry four-legged wonders aren’t the only animals special
in Michael’s world. He has spent a great deal of time
studying wild dolphins. Michael has been in the water
with many magnificent cetaceans. From wild orcas in the
waters off of British Columbia, to Atlantic spotted
dolphins near the Bahamas, Michael has developed and
up-close respect and admiration for these incredible
beings.
In one case, Michael actually spent Friday the 13th in the
middle of the Bermuda Triangle swimming with wild
dolphins. It was one of the greatest days of his life.

often been catapulted into the spotlight. Michael has
made several television appearances, including national
shows such as Entertainment Tonight, Vicki, Leeza, and A
Closer Look with Faith Daniels.

off hours out doors and keeping fit. During the summer
months, he takes a yoga class on the beach at sunset
(how Southern California is that?), and roller blades
regularly.
